The APRS and the MPG have combined their educational efforts to create JAMES (Joint Audio Media Education Services), set up to support Education and Training.

JAMES launches its exciting new JAMES Educators Forum (JEF) at Music Live. JEF is a support resource for educators in the fields of Recording, Music Technology, Record Production, Film Sound Post-Production and all industry sectors related to Music and Media.

This pioneering forum will play a major part in the various support mechanisms for teachers and lecturers that JAMES is planning. It is designed not only to open up communication between the industry and education but to facilitate communication and sharing of best practice between educators themselves.

UK Screen Announces Partnership with JAMES for Audio Training Accreditation
At its annual Conch Sound Awards, UK Screen (formerly UK Post) will announce a partnership with JAMES (Joint Audio Media Educational Service) which will help to take forward its initiatives for audio sector training. More >

 

ACCREDITATION and CENTRE APPROVAL

JAMES announces Centre Approval Scheme for Further Education.
To complement its Course Accreditation Scheme for Higher Education, JAMES has introduced the new Centre Approval scheme, so that the excellent courses in Further Education can be recognised. 

For several years, JAMES members have been working with the awarding bodies Edexcel and City and Guilds to ensure that new qualifications are “fit for purpose” and relevant to the industry’s needs. More >

APRS MPG UKSCREEN
