Pete Fielder Pete has worked in the audio industry for since 1972. His career began at London's Trident Studios in the tried and tested fashion, progressing from runner to assistant to recording engineer. Pete became synonymous for his unflappable nature and ability to disregard a client's status to acquire the best results. His time at Trident saw some of musical history's finest moments with artists such as David Bowie, Elton John and Supertramp. In 1976, Pete left Trident to become a product engineer for GEC, but returned to the studio industry when joining CTS in 1981 as a technical engineer. Over the course of 20 years he progressed to technical manager and finally general manager at the Wembley site. Pete's lifetime ambition to operate his own studio facility was fulfilled when Phoenix Sound was launched in 2001, now successfully operating at Pinewood Studios, placing a first class music recording facility alongside 70 years of cinema and television history. Pete is a former Director of the APRS (Association of Professional Recording Services), and a founder member of the APRS Education and Training Initiative. |
