GLASGOW CALEDONIAN GRADUATE WINS JAMES 'OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT' AWARD AND
OFFERS HIS THANKS.
December 2021
I have graduated this summer from the BSc Audio Technology course at Glasgow Caledonian University. I have recently been told I was put forward for the JAMES-sponsored Outstanding Achievement award, and am writing today to express my gratitude both for being selected, and for your generosity in supporting it. This is a prestigious award and one that many of my fellow classmates are equally deserving of – it means a great deal to me to have been chosen for it and I am both honoured and thankful.
The JAMES stamp of approval was one of the reasons I applied to the Audio Technology course in the first place, and to have my own JAMES stamp of approval is something I would never have imagined; thank you. The past four years on the Audio Technology course have challenged me to grow as a person and as an audio professional, and while I am proud to have marked that growth with a First Class degree, this honour has truly been the capstone for my time at GCU.
As I move into further education and beyond into the wider world of work, this award will serve to remind me of the faith others have placed in me. I will strive to continue to be deserving of that faith.
With sincere thanks, Jake
